Meet the Dancers: Matt Adams

Welcome back to our Meet the Dancer series!  Have you ever wondered how different talents and personalities come together to create our shows?  Our dancers have origins all over the world and contribute eight different styles to help us tell our story.  This week, we introduce Matt!

You may recognize Matt as the face of the flyer for our production of The Shape I’m In.  Matt is new to Project Blank but his experience as a professional contemporary dancer has been a huge asset to the team.  His background as a cheerleader sends us (safely!) flying through the air and brings a happy energy to every rehearsal.  We also can’t help but chuckle at his self-made collection of hilarious t-shirts.  Matt’s flowy movement and powerful lifts are a beautiful addition to our show and we are grateful that he has decided to share them with us!  We asked him some questions and here is what he had to say:

Name: Matt Adams
Primary style(s): Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Cheerleading
Day job: Dance fitness instructor and screen printing t-shirt business
Earliest dance memory: Putting on dance performances in my back yard for my parents with the neighbor kids at around age 7.
Fun fact: I love to wear fun costumes and have never met a cookie I didn’t like
A note about “The Shape I’m In”: Love being a part of such a collaborative project with so many talented and generous artists
